Privacy Policy

Nora is a personal knowledge service where nora AI reads saved links with source-specific tools, creates summary notes, and stores generated notes in Nora's app storage. Google Drive backup is optional.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, basic profile information, and the minimum sign-in permission needed to authenticate you. We also process links and note content that you submit to Nora.

Google Drive Access

Nora does not request Google Drive access during the default sign-up flow. If you later choose to enable Google Drive backup, Nora will ask for the Google Drive `drive.file` permission so it can create a dedicated Nora folder and save Markdown notes generated by the service. Nora uses this access only to create, update, and manage files used with Nora. Nora does not request broad access to read all files in your Google Drive.

How We Use Information

We use your information to authenticate your account, connect your personal workspace, read saved links with nora AI tooling, create link summaries, display saved-note previews, enforce usage limits, and improve reliability of the service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your Google Drive files with third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect the security of Nora and its users.

Data Retention and Deletion

Notes saved to Google Drive remain in your Google Drive account unless you delete them. You can revoke Nora access from your Google Account permissions page. If you want account-related data removed from Nora systems, contact the developer.

Security

Nora uses secure cookies and encrypted session data for authentication. Access tokens and secrets should not be exposed in client-side code or logs.
